Sunflower Droop

They certainly grew tall enough but have been very short-lived as sunflowers. This set have been drooping over because they are heavy for the thin stem, because of the rain and windy days recently and they're looking sad. One of the thinner stems broke so no open flowers on it.

It will soon be time for birds to be attacking them, the tits and the robin have been going to the table and feeders, so I think that's a hint that they need to be filled for the start of the colder weather.

At the foodbank marking up some of the food this afternoon, awaiting a delivery of a school collection, weighed in and put aside for marking-up later. Mini-talk to new volunteers about what happens in the warehouse.
