Happy 10th birthday to Blipfoto

What a great idea it was 10 years ago to set up this site. A simple idea, just post a photo, just one photo, once a day. Simple but it's more than that, everyone of us has become dedicated to this site enjoying new friendships with people near and far. Some we have got to meet through blipmeets and others we will never see face to face yet we communicate everyday. I'm sure my photography skills have developed and I certainly look more closely at things, bit's of rust, macro shots of flowers, wonderful landscapes, fungi I'd never seen before, insights into unseen parts of Edinburgh, colour, light and dogs all have had their influence on me. So a really big thank you to all at Blipcentral for all their handwork.

Today we went into Inverness to see some of the Street festival . We walked round the Victorian Market and had a giggle at all the balloon models on display. There was a mermaid by the fish shop, a stork and baby near the childrens clothes, the flower shop was surrounded in balloon flowers and this balloon couple were sitting raising a glass to blipfoto. I was hoping to have a red camera balloon model made but I did nt want to push in front of the huge queue of children lol. It was funny to see kids walking around with monkeys, spiderman and Homers as big as themselves.

We popped into the Museum to see the Scottish Diaspora Tapestry. They have produced some interesting leaflets all about each one. The needlework skills are wonderful.
