Otter talk at Aigas

Have just got back from Aigas (where Autumn watch was held a couple of years ago) . Went to a very interesting talk by Laurie Campbell and Anna Levin about their new book Otters, return to the River. The river in question is the River Tweed and Laurie , who grew up by the river , has some brilliant photos not only of the otters but other 'stuff', wild life along the way. Anna went along on many of his walks in search of the otters, often at the crack of dawn and provides the write up. Anna narrate some of her words along with a slide show and video of photos from the book. It was interesting to hear her describe Lauries attitude to his work. Saying that when you see you see more, when you hear you hear more, which is so true. Even on your doorstop there are things to see , even the smallest of things you just need to take time to look and listen and in our busy lifes all these thing are so easily over looked.

Of course we bought a book and had it signed. It was also nice to see Sir John Lister-Kaye and Lady Lister-Kaye and other members of their family.
