Sun down

I had a walk round as the sun started to sink. There was a comma butterfly with its dark wings folded on yesterday's flower and a bellowing cow on the field next door. There were clear signs of activity by the hole in the hill and various fungi, a few vetches and reddening or golden leaves where they hadn't already dropped. Hardly a car passed, just a lonely tractor on a distant field and two dogs who seemed to be on their evening walk. As I came back through the gate, the sun was just a fading burnt glow.
