The dames didn't help

9:00 am in the dentist chair thinking of MrA undergoing a similar event in the UK. Soon forgot about him though as a whole series of jabs placed in left upper & lower jaws, inside & outside. While waiting for them to take effect, felt a light tummy ache but forgot about that too during the next hour.

All done, leaving with few words said and the usual inability to control any part of my mouth. Next appointment in 10 days just to check up. Tummy ache had increased, could only be my hyper-sensitivity to the pain from the wearing off jabs. Dashed home, hot water bottle & bed.

Then it started, more pains in different places including the back. No it couldn't be kidney stones after yesterday's joking ... could it? No. Things went from bad to worse, tried a bit of morphine had lying around but didn't help much or the dose too low (petrified of the stuff). Then hit a bottle of synthetic prescription strong painkiller which I know it's workings. Got some relief but problem remained.

And so it went on all night. Couldn't eat and probably drank too little. Kidney stones becoming more likely.

The Blip is of one of the local artist, Diether Kunerth's paintings hanging on the ceilings of the treatment rooms (4 at least). Edvard Munch's "The Scream" might have been more appropriate but given one version (Munch did 4) recently sold for $120 million, I guess the dentist would have closed up shop.
