Birthday Boy

Today is Dylan’s seventh birthday, so here are a couple of pics taken on Shottery Fields this morning as we were on our doggy walk. I normally keep him on a lead when out, but once on the fields I gave him free reign to have a run around. He’s normally quite good at waiting and being called back, though sometimes he gets hold of a scent and follows it regardless of where it leads.

In other news: Boiler Man was back today to fit the new boiler. He seems to have done a good job but we had to call him back when the tank expansion thingy started pouring water all over the airing cupboard floor (slight exaggeration). This was not of his doing, just the result of emptying and re-filling the hot water cylinder and a faulty seal. He stopped the leak and is coming back tomorrow, after the electrician has wired up the new boiler, to switch on and test it and fix the leaky bits.

After a busy week of house ‘improvements’ we’re all going out this evening for a meal at Zizzi’s. Next week will bring a whole lot of new challenges.
