The venerable hawthorn

I should have been working today, but after a long day yesterday, I didn't feel 100%, so decided to put it off until later in the week. Instead I caught up on a few necessary chores. At lunch time Pete and I and took Rosie out to the river at Castor, where she had a couple of dips in the water and managed to walk a short circuit which included this venerable old hawthorn. When we first knew it, all the limbs were upright, but it is gradually becoming more and more prostrate. Despite its senescence I think it will probably be around for quite a few years yet...
