After The Cyclone

In the morning, we take the Q Line Subway train to Brooklyn; we're meeting up with Drummond and Steph and their boys for brunch, then heading to Coney Island.

With blue skies and sunshine, the weather is perfect for a day at the seaside. The kids have fun on rides old and new, mindless of the terror and loving every minute.

Against my better judgement, I'm persuaded to accompany George on the 1927-vintage Cyclone rollercoaster. Although it shakes the very bones from you, the lads all seem to think it's a bit tame.

Afterwards, we go back to Drum and Steph's for drinks and dinner, while the lads play footie and rugby in the back garden. On the taxi ride home, the sight of the lights of Manhattan is breathtaking.
