A day of 2 halves

First full day in Iceland - today's activities were whale watching and a northern lights tour.

The whale watching sadly produced no results except for us being very cold by the end of the 3 hour boat trip as it was very windy.
The northern lights tour however did produce some results as we got to see a great display especially at the second stop off. It was still really cold and windy though (bus thermometer displayed 0 degrees C but wind chill must have taken it much further down)

Back at the hotel tired but had a good day. Tomorrow has two more activities lined up one of which was chosen as a treat for Kara.
