Thinking Blue Sky

A site to behold on the drive home tonight and, whether you're in the 'first day of Spring is 1st March' or the 'first day of Spring is 20th March' camp, skies like this are a sure sign that, whenever it officially is. winter's slinging it's hook at last.

Underneath this sky the Ochil Hills look insignificant but they've protected us all in the Wee County from the worst of the snows, especially in the past week. Whereas roads were closed and power lines were down just beyond them to the North, we had a mere smattering. You can see the snow giving up its fight as it crosses the hills from the North East on the right of the picture. By the time it has reached Dumyat on the left of the picture the hills have acted like a big giant Dyson and have vacuumed the clouds empty of the cold white stuff.

Even with stopping to take this picture I was still home in daylight today and boy that makes a difference to the usual Monday slog.

WooHoo!
