New day - new beginnings

An empty beach

We thought we might check out the nearest beach, since it's only about 30 min. drive from our village, and so we did. But we hadn't realised it's low season now, and the beach was "closed", i.e. the showers had been plastered, and the toilets were locked with a padlock. It was actually rather strange being there, almost like we were walking around in a some kind of a ghost beach, with many of the restaurants closed, and the beach itself almost empty. But there were some older people (probably pensionists) socialising at the café where we had lunch, and it was really funny to be the youngest people sitting there ;-)

After our trip to Sabinillas, we decided to take a little detour on our way back home, and visit the white village of Casares. That was a totally different experience, although we were almost the only tourists there too, it felt really nice. The town is really beautiful and I can highly recommed a visit there.
