'Meet Charlie'

The salt water Crocodile.

After a bacon & eggs breakfast we went and picked up Dylan from Soren's birthday party at Westerfolds Park in Templestowe. The boys had been playing soccer and Dyls was whacked in the nose by the ball, so when we first saw him he had blood all over his t shirt from a blood nose. He seems okay tonight though.

Today was the local Nillumbik Council Pet Expo down at the oval in Diamond Creek and I had promised to take Bella down to look at all of the animals. We saw loads of dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, a butterfly enclosure and all sorts of reptiles being shown off by Sean the SnakeMan. Charlie here was the last animal he brought out to show everyone, a 2m long Salt Water Croc. He's just a baby at 10 years old and apparently this is his 9th Expo he's been to. He is expected to reach a length of up to 7.5m when fully grown. I'd never been this close to a salty before let alone touch one. Their skin was much softer than I had expected and I can see why they were once hunted for their skins.

Bella's favourite animal was a fully rabbit which was being walked around on a leash by it's owner.

Been shoe shopping for both of the kids this arvo too, Dylan's runners had such big holes in them that his foot was just about to break out of the side of them, and Bella just didn't want to miss out and had to have a pair too. (Bad Daddy).
