My Time Abroad

Rotten Egg Rotorua

In the morning Blythe and I went to Sulpher point, though I've always spelled it sulfur. The whole town of Rotorua smells like sulpher because of all the geothermal activity. Sulpher point is basically an area of lots of rocks, mud pools, holes in the ground with either steam comin out or bubbling water and mud. Also a large region of the lake is a white-ish/yellow color bc of the sulpher. It was pretty neat, have never seen anything like it.

The second half of the day was spent in the California Red Wood forest as seen above. That area of Rotorua smelled much better. Like trees. This forrest was beautiful with thick tall trees that the sun shined so gorgeously through.

This was our last night in Rotorua before catching the bus back to Auckland tomorrow. Time to start studying for finals .... :(
