Etched in Stone. GX1, Leitz Summicron 50mm DR.

I decided to try a new spot for Blipping today: at the Chestnut Hill Reservoir just down the hill from our place. The reservoir is part of Boston's water supply system and I discovered, set into the ground, a rather fine compass etched into a slab of granite denoting the distances and directions to the other reservoirs in the supply chain. A little taste of the crisp etching work is softened by the fall leaves.
