A chair in a corridor

I was at a meeting on the top floor of the Mitchell Library in Glasgow today and I was struck by this view which looks along a very elegant corridor to the Robert Burns Room. I was also surprised that I had never been in this part of the building before.

The chair was just there - I don't know why.
