Te Whakarewarewatanga o te ope taua a Wahiao

A view of the Pohutu Geyser which erupts on average once or twice per hour. The effect of the silica rich output is to form these white terraces of mineral deposits as the water flows down the rocks. The effect is stark and powerful, sadly I don't think an image like this can really do it justice.
