Locos In A Different Light

I went to the National Rail Museum in York to see the 'Locos In A Different Light' display today.

Various groups have 'lit up' some of the museum's displays using lots of different coloured lights and also 'smoke' effects. It was an evening event so the museum was pretty well blacked out apart from the displays. Some of the displays kept changing colour so several different shots could be made from the same loco.

It was an interesting experience - trying not to fall over other tripods and trying to get shots without the 'ghosts' of moving people. Mostly succeeded! Hope I haven't turned up on too many of the others shots!

Processing has been a nightmare - gave up trying colour balance - as there was no 'normal'. Also both Highlights and Shadows were pretty well blown in every shot.

Think this was my favourite shot of the night - the rest are on flickr.
