Poppies

Today I headed into Victoria early with Karen and her mum, Audrey, with the idea that we would try to avoid the crowds ! Ha, what was we thinking, however we could not have had a better time and starting out early set the pace for a very enjoyable day out.

In this picture you can see the shadows of the crowds taking their pictures (right at the front) and which represents the joining together of those present with those that lost their lives and are now represented by the Poppies.

What a stunning, humble sight,
A mass, deep in thought, as one,
Patient, sharing, crowds, and then some
A glistening sea of remembrance ...
