Happy sheep

Our flock of sheep have recently been moved into this small meadow at the southern end of the reserve. They are now surrounded by woodland glowing with autumn colour and are grazing alongside blocks of mixed scrub which is groaning with berries. Today this was attracting a flock of over 50 redwings, recently arrived from Scandinavia, and some lovely mixed tit/finch groups. I hope the sheep are enjoying the spectacle. It is a mixed flock of Beulah (Welsh Speckled-face) and Hebridean sheep, a combination we've found to work well over the last few years.
