The Last of the Last

I know this has been done to death, but this really is the last leaf from the Boston Ivy and it's all I've got to show from today.

I went in to Perth this morning for a U3A Open Meeting where the speaker gave a talk about John Muir, which was really interesting and informative. I hadn't known he and his brother were draft-dodgers during the American Civil War (on religious grounds, of course). It didn't seem to do his later career any harm, as he went on to meet US Presidents and advise them on conservation!

Not sure where the rest of the day went as I pottered around at home, but suddenly it was dark and the leaf was my only blip! I liked the contrast with the green alpine plant (whose name I have forgotten already).
