Day at the beach

We explored the coastline between Padstow & Newquay today - beautiful day - I feared it was going to be too cold & windy, but luckily the wind dropped & the sun shone & boy did it shine warm too, utterly wonderful for this time of year! Stonechats & rock pipits danced before us on the cliffs catching insects, a kestrel hovered above us, a peregrine swooped by & even a skylark sung high up! You'd think it was Spring, not Autumn!

I'd dread to think how amazingly packed this place is in high season... utter nightmare, I dread to even dare imagine it! Plus a little annoyed, lots of people around, but the toilets in the overflow car park shut! Wish they had told us that in the first car park then we wouldn't have had to walk all the way there! Hate this country, it's so uncivilised sometimes!!!
