I went down to Sneinton Market afterwards but it's all covered with developer's hoardings; at least the York House site is still providing some interest - even if I have managed to accidentally delete the shot I liked best...

Been meaning to mention Canadian indiepop band Alvvays for a couple of weeks - luckily they're still making me 'expressively' happy. I heard their new single 'Next of Kin' on Radio 6 and thought that Camera Obscura had gone all Spectorish. Actually they're a little more like The Pains of Being Pure At Heart with a the Wall-of-Sound turned up some and a fondness for eighties keyboard-and-rhythm lines with a hint of early Cure or New Order...
