Littlehampton

On our way to Littlehampton for a sunshine walk and lunch, we stopped off at Whiteways Café on Bury Hill, a favourite stopping place for bikers and walkers as well as cars. The café was relaying the Remembrance Service over the tannoy. By chance we arrived just before 11 o'clock, in time to see the bikers and walkers fall silent, the arriving cars come to a stop where they were for the two minutes silence. Out in the open air on the hill top, very moving. So glad we caught it. It's not our usual road to Littlehampton, it was the whim of Darcy, our satnav.

18 degrees on the coast, lovely walk on the promenade, lunch outside in sunshine so warm we didn't needs jackets the whole time.

This is one of the innovative shelters on the prom, attracts kids and adults alike to play in the loops. I rather liked the silhouettes of the passersby in among the tangles. Try looking in large.
