Tithe Barn, Ditcham

This wonderful building is the Tithe Barn at Old Ditcham Farm near Petersfield.. Close to the border with West Sussex, the little village of Ditcham dates back to Saxon times. It’s known that the barn was originally cruciate in form and has now been restored to this state. It has 6 beautiful stone arches, half hammer beams and a flagstone floor, and is Grade II listed. Today there was a Christmas Fair with a huge turnout considering it has poured down all day and the barn is in the middle of nowhere. Unfortunately it was a bit too huntin’ shootin’ fishin’ for my taste, with prices to match.
