Celebrating a 40th in the 40s

Interesting start of the day with the landlady calling to see when the boiler and other gas-related appliances can be checked. We moved in 3 months ago and this was supposed to happen within weeks of the move.

After a stressful afternoon preparing a massive house for 7 guests who arrived early (!), we finally got to meet some friends together and celebrated Lisa's 40th birthday at a Blitz party.

It was in Shoreditch at an empty warehouse and I must say, it's done very well. The decorations, music and most of all, people really do make an effort! Apart from the camera flashes and mobiles, it could well be a party in the 40s!
