Excitement in Arbroath Harbour

A dry, bright and sunny day.

We went through to Arbroath Harbour this afternoon since it was such a lovely day and I needed to get some fresh air. A great way to convalesce. There was a bit of excitement in this normally tranquil harbour. We seemed to get there at a busy time, with a few boats coming and going. We were standing at the exit of the inner harbour which leads to the outer harbour. Suddenly, we realised one boat was moving fast out of the inner harbour and another was coming from its berth in the outer harbour and neither seemed to see the other until the last minute. Both immediately went into full reverse and narrowly avoided crashing into each other.

So much for a quiet convalescence, time for a cup of tea in the nearby Restaurant.
