Moon Geese

An image very similar to one I posted last week of golden plovers and the moon. This time it is greylag geese. I walked around Deerness for seven hours and it was sunny nearly all the time. Not too much bird-wise: six velvet scoters (ducks) lots of blackbirds and a few redwings, one mistle thrush and one fieldfare, a peregrine, two sparrowhawks (or the same one twice) , two jack snipe, one of which was flushed by a hen harrier etc. Masses of greylag geese.
