Farmhouse

I went out to Stenness to look for a red-breasted goose reported there yesterday. No sign from the hide at Barnhouse so I walked up the road to Brodgar for a look. No luck though there were flocks of 200+ lapwing, 250+ golden plover and 45 or more snipe. Back in the hide I saw an update on my phone saying the goose was near Maes Howe so I walked along and got distant view- far too distant for usable photos. It is a very rare migrant from Arctic Siberia which would normally be in Azerbaijan just now...but with all rare ducks and geese, there is always the chance that it has just absconded from a wildfowl collection somewhere. This farmhouse was nearby- unremarkable but I kind of liked the planes and angles.
