My Life in A&E

By gilvratina

Ah lovely autumn sun.

Met up with Big Suze and Ms G for dinner and "Rear Window", both courtesy of the Filmmuseum.

The Filmmuseum is so great - where else can you see old films for 4 euros? Anyway, Jimmy Stewart was great and in a cast, Grace Kelly was beautiful and stylish and Lars Thorwald was sinister - so all was as it should be.

Before the film there was a short intro by some guy who has apparently written books about Grace Kelly and her role as a style icon. There was also much talk about Edith Head, the costume designer, who won multiple Oscars and, if I understood correctly, often wore blue tinted glasses so that she could tell what clothes would look like in black and white.

Nothing like a bit of culture on a Wednesday evening.
