Seattle

Started the day by heading over to the Starbucks opposite our hostel to grab a coffee and wandered around Pike Place Market in true Seattle style. We got to see some fish throwing and taste various treats like fresh apples and cinnamon almonds. The owner of the bookshop downstairs in the market gave us a quick summary of all things we must do in Portland and Seattle and he mentioned the gum wall just around the corner from his shop. He said he'd been taking pictures of it once a week and watched it grow. It was what you'd imagine:chewing gum stuck to a wall. It looked amazing now its all built up. We added some of our own to the wall.

We then had a wander around Belltown, scouting out all the good bars (that I'll have to come back to visit) and wandering around a couple art galleries.

We'd been told to head up the Columbia tower as you get to go up both in the day and at night. The views from the top of the tower were amazing, we were so high up the space needle looks small!

We went to the Delicatessen for lunch just off Pioneer Square. They did amazing sandwiches which we split between us. They came with a cup of gravy to dip your sandwich in. Very luxurious.

We continued to wander around downtown Seattle all afternoon. Enjoying the rest of the sunshine. We headed out for dinner at Cyclopse in Belltown, where I ate a lovely salmon taco and had apple pie for pudding!
