Long-tailed Tit

Beautiful sunny morning. Gentle stroll round the marshes and canal. Not much in the way of winter bird visitors though some lapwings have arrived. Lots of blackbirds on the berries; at least two kingfishers were about and several troops of long-tailed tits chirruping and flitting from tree to tree. Now they have finished their autumn moult the mallards and moorhens are looking very smart.
