Morning Flypast

Skeins of geese fly over most morning and back again in the evening, their honking a prelude to their arrival. Sometimes they are all together and at others they come in dribs and drabs. They can fly in beautifully organised skeins or in bunched chaos as if they haven’t yet woken up properly. They often fly following the cliffs before cutting across to fly up the valley, too far away to get a good photo. This morning they flew over the house.
