Te Kāio Bay . . . . .

. . . . . or commonly known as Tumbledown Bay. This wonderfully scenic little bay is one of the southern bays on Banks Peninsula. On a beautiful spring day like today it was a delight to spend a few hours picnicking down there with a friend. The information I found out about why the bay was called Tumbledown alludes to a riotous party, where people and bottles were found tumbling down the hillside. I wonder if it's true!

We called in to see Mr & Mrs Horomaka on the way, to pick up some camera gear and hear about their plans for shifting.
