Mini champion

I love Shetland ponies. They are Thelwell’s cartoons personified.
So, when I heard that there was a show taking place in Stirling it looked like an ideal photographic opportunity.

And I was not disappointed. But it was the miniature Shetlands ponies though that caught my eye. I have seen dogs that are bigger.

This is three-year-old Lotte with her owner from Perth, champion of her class.

Thelwell immortalised these little fat ponies with their strong characters thus ensuring their popularity with generations of little girls.
