Desperately seeking

Soaked!

There seemed to be such a lot to do at the holiday lodge today, we did a few things but, it was also important that The Man got some shots for his 365th Blip.

There was a lot of experimentation using string, a chair, a stepladder, an antique pointy thing, a mobile phone and some birthday present gadgetary. Oh, and some red balloons! Well done That Man. It was his blipday so he got the important, very skillful jobs of filling red balloons with water, tying them up and sticking the antique pointy thing in them.

What did I do? I stood around with a mobile phone, getting soaked BUT only 3 ballooons were harmed in the making of THIS blip!

In other news, The Mother is still in hospital 8 weeks on and things are still uncertain whether she will stay there or be moved to a nursing home if a bed becomes available. Her health is such that she is very unlikely to go back to the care home and the room she left in September.

She isn't allowed to have her false teeth now due to risk of choking so nutrition is reduced to fluids, a situation familiar to her. She is unable to adjust her own hearing aids and, without her teeth, is incomprehensible. Added to that she halucinates so communication is difficult.

I really nice thing happened today, though. A lady and her daughter, who work in congunction with the hospital, brought in a Cavalier spaniel for the patients to stroke. It was allowed up on the bed and when I managed to wake The Mother up she smiled and stoked it.

A lovely day, even if a little wet in parts!
