Smoke Signals

Mr E had a lie in until 8 this morning, so we were late getting out.

We did a circular walk around Loch Kernsary. Unfortunately the sky remained a dull grey all day, with hardly a breath of wind. We ate our lunch overlooking the loch and watching huge fish leap out of the water, presumably to catch flies. The smoke from a garden fire slowly drifted over the hills, like Scotch mist.

We then visited the hide in Poolewe but there wasn't much to see, We did spot an otter but it was stuffed and sitting on a cupboard in the hide.

As we were walking back to the car, we were treated to a very short lived but incredible sunset. I'll try and put an image or two in blipfolio.

Thank you for your generous comments, stars and hearts over the past week. All very much appreciated :-)
