Looks Weird, Tastes Wonderful

The NT noticeboard says it far better than I could:

These veg plots are an experiment to grow vegetables in the Victorian way.

We rotate the crops with the seasons, to get the freshest foods at its best.
We grow everything using organic methods, with no pesticides or chemical fertilizers. It doesn't always end up looking perfect, but the taste is amazing.

It's good for you and for wildlife too.

We grow old varieties as well - purple carrots for anyone?

Peek through the hole! What's the ugliest vegetable you can spot?

Come back and peek again next month - you'll be amazed at the change.

I will definitely be back - and in the meantime, I expect the chap in the background will keep an eye on it all. If only I could get this stuff in the supermarket...
