Lampoon Lamp. Leitz Telyt-V 200mm.

Back to the Harvard Lampoon Building to go after the details. This is the lovely lamp on its delicate wrought iron bracket hanging over the front door. Once again, a close-up look through the big lens reveals the details: the squares of glass in alternate yellow and purple match the door here. Clearly, these are team colors. While I was walking around taking my photographs, a big man, a construction worker by his look, came up to me to ask if I knew anything about the building. Turns out he is a stone mason doing restoration work on one of the more prestigious Harvard dormitory buildings close by. He was fascinated and impressed by the masonry details on the Lampoon and couldn't understand how such a lovely old building could just be standing empty. We had a nice chat.
