Private cinema & Kampot Market

Instead of large cinemas, small towns around here seem to have places with multiple private rooms which you rent out and have the choice of hundreds of (pirated) HD films. To escape the heat of the day and to allow the girls to rest their injured limbs, we rented a room. The screen was massive, the sound system was impressive and you all lie on a big bed with A/C.

Afterwards we went to Kampot Market, a jumble of hundreds of stalls under shoddy roofing, divided roughly in to departments. We found sections including fruit, kitchenware, clothing and, most amazingly, jewellery. There were lots of stalls where workers were making jewellery, using blowtorches, hammers, hacksaws and other strange instruments. It felt and sounded like a workshop right in the middle of a market. There seemed to be a lot of fake gold and diamonds but I assume you can get custom-made items cheaply.

The market was winding down and we saw these guys counting their takings. Obviously they're not worried about robbery!
