No 172: Bar-tailed Godwit

Our last day here in North Norfolk. Like last year, we've been pretty lucky with the weather. We decided to spend our last day at RSPB Titchwell Marsh. The early morning mist over the marshes burnt off quickly and it was a lovely morning. Later, the sky was white rather than grey, and it was still and very mild, so still not bad for bird watching. Highlights were large numbers of Golden Plover, Red-crested Pochard and Pintails, and on the beach Mr PB spotted a Peregrine at a remarkable distance. We recorded 50 species - a PB for PB and my expert friend Andy confirmed the birds in this tideline shot as Bar-tailed Godwits.
