That tree again

Some of you who have followed my blips over a period of time will probably recognise this tree.  Its interesting shape, including the dead top section, always fascinates me.

I continue to photograph it at different times of day, different times of year, different weather and lighting conditions; it is surprising how different it can look.  Today, the late afternoon sun catching the remaining autumn colours produced a rich orange scene, with a clear blue sky behind.

The good news today is that I received my compact camera back from repair - somewhat faster than I had been expecting.  That is particularly surprising given that it was apparently sent to Germany, where Canon service that particular model!
