Some Act to Follow

Enjoyed a real treat this evening at the 38th Annual Rally of the Bearsden Fiddlers and invited guests. It was superb. All the soloists were very good but the undoubted star was virtuoso accordion player Ryan Corbett, a 15 year old from the Music School of Douglas Academy. He has a string of awards to his name already, not least the Hugh S. Robertson Trophy for the most outstanding player under 14 in the Glasgow Music Festival 2013. He also plays classical accordion as well as traditional music. He's a young man to watch. To see someone who has totally mastered the subtleties of a musical instrument at so young an age is mind-blowing.
