Hanging Flower Baskets

One of the most attractive (and fragrant) beautifications put up by the City of Victoria are the hanging flower baskets. The baskets have recently been hung and by the summer they will each be a massive bundle of beautiful flowers and vines. I saw this one with the small Canada flag and wanted to try and capture the flowers when the street lights came on for the evening. Luckily these lights come on gradually, so I was able to capture the picture at dusk, just as the lights started to come on and before they overpowered the flowers making the exposure more difficult.

I promise to periodically blip captures of this basket as it grows through the spring.
