It's a Journey....

The Lowry Ave Bridge

This new Lowry Ave Bridge was opened in 2012 after being closed for five years. The old bridge was closed in 2007 and demolished in 2008. It crosses the Mississippi River in Minneapolis. Blue is the usual color but the lights will be changed for special occasions and holidays. We had heard a rumor that it might be purple and gold tonight in honor of the Vikings game tomorrow, but that obviously wasn't true. But that's okay because I think the blue is very pretty. Here is a photo of the whole bridge. This was a foggy night, we will go again when the sky is clear and we will be able to see the Minneapolis skyline behind the bridge. (And the lights won't be foggy blobs).

This morning Anna and I went to a free class at the library and made some really cute macramé bracelets.
