Owl

High up in the tree, wonderfully blended with the branches, is a Tawny Owl, snoozing the day away. We would have missed it but for a small group ahead concentrating on looking at it. Really good views through my bins of its wonderful plumage, but no way I was going to get a photo that would do it credit (and the camera couldn't focus through the branches in front of it). First Tawny I have seen (rather than heard) in ages.

And yes, the owl is in picture, I've blown this up a bit to check !
