Nothing is worth more

I had a lovely lunch today meeting my good friend Sue's first grandchild, Zoe. At a time when several friends are either themselves very unwell or have partners who are unwell, it was good to meet a wee human being at the start of her life.

Born some weeks prematurely she is home now along with her mum Emma and it was just great to be asked down to meet her. She is beautifully petite, with great long fingers and a very expressive face. It was hard to wean her away not from her mum but from her granny!

It's always good, too, to get a chance to explore the north side of the city. Emma lives in Trinity so I cycled all the way down the Mound to the foot and along to Trinity and then the big challenge, all the way back up the Mound from Canonmills, finger crossing at every traffic light ( I hate hill starts on the bike!)
