Tamron AF 18-270mm

Today I did some serious testing with the Tamron AF 18-270mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD.  The most compelling  results were with the image stabiliser (Tamron’s Piezo Drive) as can be seen from today’s blip.

The three shots were all hand held taken from the same place.  The focal length is shown on the images, and all are sooc – just joined together and the edges trimmed.  Best viewed large.

Yes, the image is slightly better using a tripod and with the stabiliser off, but that’s not always convenient, especially if you are taking roaming shots, either stills or video.

The scene is Billingborough church taken from the other side of the ‘Springwells’. Both the church and the well have featured in my blips in the past.

More serious testing to come . . .
