The Hut in the Corner

7.3C and dull with light showers from time to time. Zephyr.

The dull wet weather continued today. Apothecary7, Maeve the Deerhound, and I went into Dundee and had a walk up to the Howff. Everything was rather wet and dark. In the lecture on the Howff I went to on the 19th the speaker had mentioned the grave of a gardener which was near the hut in the corner which was used by the Howff's gardeners until recently. I found the grave, still well tended with a border of primroses and a palm like cordyline planted alongside.

On the way home we stopped at a garden centre to see if there were any spring bulbs to be had. Not many, the whole place having been taken over by Christmas madness. We did manage to buy a 5kg sack of mixed narcissi which will be planted in pots soon.
