The best street show ever

This is the first time I've ever felt the need to replace a days picture. If I get a chance I'll put up a link to the original at lunchtime.

I had to change to this one though as this was part of the best street performance I've ever seen in the Edinburgh Festival. Normally the street shows are either bad jugglers with almost identical schtick to each other or South American bands. Clearly from the picture this wasn't either. It was a group of Scottish breakdancers, two of whom are putting on a show called Hip-hop Scotch at Dancebase during the festival.

they were really good anyway but what made it even better was that at one point when one had just finished a bit and was waiting for one of his mates to take over a Korean guy in a crazy outfit started dancing, he was really good. After that one of his friends from the same show (judging by the similar outfit) did a bit too. A few minutes later a guy from anouther group of dancers who were just watching joined in.

After about ten minutes more of the same format the first Korean guy looked like he was going to do a bit but inmstead dragged his mate and the other group of dancers who were watching into the middle and formed a line then started gesturing to the Scottish guys who coined on quickly and did the same. What followed was an inpromptu half-hour long dance off. It made everyone that bit more competitive and resulted in some amazing, gravity defying, moves.

This guy was one of the best of them. If you're into that sort of stuff I'd recommend you look for info on Hip-hop Scotch at Dancebase. If that was anything to go by it will be excellent.
