Tiny Feet

My lovely daughter was very patient in letting me try for this shot. It was quite tricky getting the lighting anywhere near right but I got something quite close in the end. I wanted to show just how tiny the feet of a newborn baby really are - so these are Amelia's perfectly formed feet cupped in the loving hands of her wonderful mother.

This delightful family have been dealt a cruel blow today. After the euphoria of Amelia's birth there was a sudden death in the family with the passing of my son-in-law's mother. Although she was an old lady, it was totally out of the blue so my thoughts for today are never take anything for granted and make the most of every opportunity.
